Pointe Aux Chene Coastal Mitigation Area
Terrebonne and Lafourche Parishes

Pointe Aux Chene is located adjacent to the Pointe Aux Chene Wildlife Management Area in Terrebonne and Lafourche Parishes, approximately 15 miles southeast of Houma. The Wildlife Management Area is owned by the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries and includes about 35,000 acres. Restoration efforts will include bald cypress swamp as well as fresh marsh restoration.
